Recent progress in research information management and its systems

This piece summarises some of the most recent advances in the area of research information management and Current Research Information Systems (CRIS). With a focus on the increasing level of system interoperability that the implementation of the Cerif-XML Guidelines for CRIS Managers jointly issued by OpenAIRE and euroCRIS is making possible, the update lists a number of improvements that adding CRIS systems to the list of OpenAIRE data providers may deliver to the attempt to capture a more comprehensive snapshot of the research being conducted in Europe
