Journalism is seeking the nourishment it needs to reinvent itself and meet the challenges posed by the demands of citizens living in a networked society that moves under the long shadow of high technology in uncertain times. The answer to a multidimensional challenge such as that facing journalism in today’s fluid societies is unlikely to come from the magic touch of a guru or a creator of eloquent phrases, but rather from a collection of contributions which, backed by science, will bring together ideas, projects and solid initiatives capable of fostering a regeneration that propels a new era for something that has been, is and will be journalism in its purest form. And this array of solutions—expert journalism, backed by scientific knowledge—will occupy a prominent place in this ongoing metamorphosis, ensuring the adaptation necessary to survive in a world living under the umbrella of constant change.
