Las bibliotecas de Carnegie: un modelo espacial casi vigente

Resumen

En un momento en el que se buscan modelos para el diseño de los espacios de bibliotecas públicas que se adapten a las necesidades cambiantes, podemos echar la vista atrás hacia los ejemplos de las bibliotecas de Andrew Carnegie. Junto con su secretario, James Bertram, propusieron unas directrices para el diseño de sus bibliotecas que reflejan una idea de biblioteca pública casi vigente. Con las limitaciones de la época, el modelo de Carnegie es imitable y adaptable a nuestro tiempo.
