Abstract

The closure of library locations due to the Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in many voices restating the need to improve digital services. However, this digital environment has long been seen as a threat to the existence of libraries themselves. The accuracy of the worst predictions is questionable, but those visions probably prepared us to evolve towards new library models. These models, with a greater presence of digital, do not contradict the importance of the library as a place.
