Abstract

During the last decade, Cultural Heritage institutions have been exploring new ways to publish and reuse their digital collections. The European Commission has recently promoted several initiatives aiming at publishing and reusing datasets. This work presents some of the most representative approaches in the European context for the publication and reuse of digital collections in the Cultural Heritage sector. Moreover, potential opportunities and challenges are analysed.
