Abstract

In relation to the beginning of Europeana, the need to reflect on the information retrieval systems that are being implemented in this type of resources is considered. Frequently, digital repositories, libraries and harvesters are not applying retrieval systems that can compete with a search engine like Google. The existing quality tools in the traditional documental resources are not being applied either.
